1:1 Therapeutic Mentoring

Our sessions will be:

  • Trauma informed & LGBTQI Friendly

All mentoring sessions are held with the understanding that your life experiences can have a lasting impact on your mind, body and nervous system. Outside of my work as a therapist, I am a survivor of complex trauma myself. I am also a queer therapist and welcome humans of all walks of life into my healing space.

  • Healing intensive & Shame Free

Our sessions will help you to explore the areas or your life you’ve been afraid to process and look at. Each session will ease into the tough terrains with grace and without the heavy burden of shame or a sense of urgency.

  • Run by a licensed psychotherapist

While therapeutic mentoring sessions are NOT psychotherapy and are not meant to treat or diagnosis mental illness I am fully licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. Licensure as a mental health counselor requires thousands of hours of face to face client contact as well as passing a national certification exam (NMHCE) and keeping up with yearly continuing education training hours. **If you’d like to work with me as a psychotherapy client you MUST live in the state of MA. FAQs

What is the difference between your mentoring sessions and psychotherapy?

While our sessions will mirror some of the deeply therapeutic work I offer in my psychotherapy practice, my mentoring sessions are not designed to treat a specific mental health diagnosis nor are they psychotherapy. Our sessions will serve as guidance, education and support but will not follow a medical model and will not include the diagnosing of mental illness. No mental health diagnostic evaluation or diagnosis will be given. Medical clinical & therapeutic services will not be offered.

High risk needs and related concerns are not appropriate for this level of services.

  • if you're dealing with suicidal ideation, self-harm ideation or behaviors, psychosis, active substance abuse, active eating disorder behaviors, you need to see a therapist in addition to our coaching.

  • If a diagnosis or higher level of care is required, referral will be made to have this assessed and treated by a therapist.

What is the difference between your TrAuma informed mentoring vs your creative mentoring sessions?

While all of my sessions are trauma informed, you have the option of either a strictly mental and emotional well-being track with no creative component, or a creative track for a strong creative component. Our consultation will help us determine what you are looking for and would most benefit from.
